This 6-class series offers a thorough introduction to the meditative art form that is Ikebana. No prior experience necessary: this class series is designed to be a first introduction with a progressive curriculum that will provide strong foundations for further practice. After taking this series, you will be welcome to continue your practice in my “Continuing” classes.
Classes meet Saturdays at 10 am, starting Saturday, September 12th. Each class lasts ~2 hours.

Six group Ikebana lessons (10 am to 12 pm every Saturday starting Sept. 12)
Flower/branch materials for each class, yours to keep
One Kenzan (8-cm diameter pin frog), yours to keep (*)
One Suiban (wide-mouth, shallow vase for free style), yours to keep (*)
(*) If you already own an 8-cm kenzan and/or suiban and do not wish to acquire another one, please reach out and I will deduct the cost of these items from your class registration fee ($27.56 for an 8-cm kenzan; $32.44 for a suiban; $60 for both).
Important:
A minimum of 4 participants is required for this workshop to be offered. If we do not reach this minimum, the series will be cancelled and you will be issued a full refund. Class size is limited to 8 participants.
Kenzan and suiban will be provided during the first class and are yours to keep. Please bring these back for use in each subsequent class. Any other material(s) needed to create your arrangement (e.g. pruning shears) will be provided as loaners during class.
We will cover beginning principles of free style (Moribana and Jiyuka - 5 classes) and also introduce Shoka (1 class).
All sales are final. No refunds will be issued for missed classes (no make-up classes offered).
In the unlikely event that I need to cancel specific class(es) within the series, you will be offered a refund for the cancelled class(es) (i.e., $50 per class), or a credit toward alternate class(es).
